Unfortunately, Lower Mountains Fundraising Events Inc. will not be able to hold its 2020 Springwood Australia Day Festival.

Too many difficulties with the 2019 event and too few remaining stalwarts to carry the load.

We are not dissolving LMFE Inc. and will maintain our association, without an "Australia Day" in the foreseeable future.

Our recent AGM elected its Committee for the next year.

Our aim is to be able to respond with a fundraising event if a situation ever arises that the community sees as requiring urgent support.

Our committee has the structure and framework for a major fundraising event if needed and we will be able to put that into action at short notice , as we did after the 2013 bushfires.

OR: If the Springwood community show an interest in another annual event/festival supporting a worthwhile local recipient; and there are enough people willing to help that happen, we have everything in place ready to go.
